Well

We live in Cedar City now... Love it.. Rylan is doing great, his last appt he weighed 17.05 and was 27in long.. That was at around 4 1/2 months.. he is now 5 1/2 months. His Neurology appt is today. Hope they tell us something. Dustin has been going to school for nursing.. Everything is great..

Well

  Rylan will be getting blessed on the 27th of this month.. :) We still have to get him an outfit to wear but that should be easy.. I am set to be baptized on the 26th of this month.. :) Also we are moving to Cedar City this up coming week. I can't wait for us to have a place to call home rather than saying it's someone elses. Also Alyson lives there so I will have someone to play basketball with.. YAY!! Well nothing else is new.. O wait yes there is Dustin is home.. :D It's so amazing to have him back.. He looked at our phone minutes and was like we haven't used very much,... I said duh it's cuz we have free mobile to mobile and your not talking on a foreign phone anymore haha.. So wonderful..

News

  Well Rylan went to the Neurologist yesterday and they checked his eyes to make sure he follows light and objects.. They also checked to make sure his reflexes are doing good and that he startles well... It was funny the doctor said he would cry when he went to try and scare him.. but it didn't happen Rylan just layed there staring up at him.. haha.. All in all the doctor said he is looking GREAT!! Which is very exciting considering his left side of his cerebellum isn't fully developed.. but they are still trying to come up with a reason for that but he doesn't have to go back for 3 months.  He has also started to smile at people it's so cute.. Dustin got delayed a few more days but should be back real soon.

    Dustin kept saying don't fall asleep with him on the bed.. who would have guessed that every time I looked at them they were sleeping on the bed.. haha

Life

 Well Rylan was born January 31, 2011 at 9:17 am. He weighed 8lbs 11oz and was 20 1/2 inches long..

  
   He was in NICU for the first 6 days due to having low sugar, low resting heart rate, he was later put on a nasal canula (?) ( a breathing machine cord in his nose). Also the left side of his cerebellum isn't fully developed and he has to see a Neurologist. First they thought it was a dilated cisturna magna.. then a cist.. but eventually found out it was the cerebellum..

  He's doing great now.. He weighed 9lbs 1oz 2 weeks ago at his appt then 2 days ago he weighed 10lbs 6oz.. We also have found out that for time being (hopefully) that he is allergic to milk formula and cannot have soy formula either.. We have him on Alimentum which they said is the last option.. Also as long as I am providing him with atleast 1 ounce of milk I cannot have Dairy..


   Dustin is doing good as well... He got to come home a few days after Rylan was born since he was in NICU.. then he was home for 2 weeks then left to do paperwork. It's so amazing seeing him with Rylan. he does really good with him. Also he would like that I am admitting to this.. But yes when he was home he did change more diapers than me and get up at night with him so I could rest since he would be leaving us again for a few weeks.. I also went to the ER for having problems breathing and such.. we thought it could have been a blood clot in my lungs but turns out I wasn't resting enough.. Now everything is fine with all of us.. Dustin will be home soon for good and we will be moving.. YAY! Finally a place to call our own..
    

Baby

    Well as of now if I don't go into labor by the 30th I will be going to the hospital to be induced. It sounds scary, but I am hoping everything goes good. I will have everyone informed on when he is born and how big he is, no one will be left out. :) I still feel pretty good, I do have the occasional moments of feeling terrible but they pass rather fast. I plan on going on a walk today so maybe that will be fun. Well I don't have any other news..

   Here's the crib and bedding set from the Military Baby Shower! We also recieved all the nursery items that match. I am so excited we got all that, we were actually trying to find a crib. :)

Baby Rylan

Well this is Rylan at 34 weeks. The doctor who did the ultrasound said we should have a ultrasound done on his head after he is born. They told me he has a dilated cisturna magna, so I guess we will see how that goes. They also said based on the size he looks like he is between 5 1/2 - 6 pounds and is measuring at 6 pounds 5 oz. I didn't expect a small baby due to the fact Dustin and I were both big babies. But it will be nice to finally see what he looks like, my guess is it will be a small version of Dustin. :)
